A comprehensive human resource management tool spanning attendance tracking, employee profiles and leave management. I built the Attendance, Dashboard and Team Management modules.
01The problem
HR process tends to live in whatever tool was to hand — spreadsheets, email threads, paper. Attendance and leave in particular are high-frequency, low-tolerance: everyone uses them, and everyone notices when they are wrong.
02The approach
A Next.js and TypeScript front end with Ant Design, Styled Components and Unstated Next for state, over Node/Express with Hasura and GraphQL against PostgreSQL, Dockerised and hosted on AWS EC2. I owned the Attendance, Dashboard and Team Management modules.
03The outcome
Attendance, Dashboard and Team Management delivered as part of the wider HR platform.
04Decisions worth noting
